Urgent appeal for Rotary Foundation Annual Fund Contributions and Sustaining Members
With just two months to go to the end of the Rotary year, contributions from our District’s members and clubs to the Annual Fund are $33,454 USD (£27,000 GBP). This is less than half of the annual total donated when looking at any of the previous 10 years. Rotary Foundation is our charity and among the many programs and projects it funds, approximately half of the contributions we make to the Annual Fund, will make up the vast majority of the District Designated Funds (DDF) we have available to allocate to Global and District Grants in the 2026-27 Rotary year. That currently means we would have less than $17,000 USD to allocate. For reference, over the previous 5 years we have in total been able to allocate over $240,000 in DDF to dozens of Global and District Grants our Clubs have participated in, with the World Fund adding matching funds also.
